Fran has over 25 years experience in senior management, organizational development, and direct engagement working with Indigenous peoples. Her areas of expertise include Indigenous adult and post-secondary education and training and Indigenous solutions to housing and homelessness for vulnerable and high-risk individuals requiring supportive housing. 

 

Fran was the inaugural Director of the Office of Indigenous Affairs at the University of Victoria and is currently the Executive Director for the Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness. She is also an entrepreneur and currently owns a consulting business, Hunt-Jinnouchi Enterprises. She has a Bachelor of Social Work, a Masters in Adult Education and has completed the course work for a Doctorate in Philosophy in Educational Psychology and Leadership. Fran is passionate about social justice and is committed to developing housing models that are culturally supportive and incorporate decolonized harm reduction practice. Fran's life work has focused on Indigenous community capacity building, collaborative approaches and transformative action.
